In the EU region, Engines configured to auto-update became stuck in an update loop. This started at 3:10 ET and continued until approximately 5:45 ET.
This issue was caused by a back-end file deployment process’s inability to update the Engine upgrade MSI file. Rapidly renewing locks prevented the file from being updated.
To remediate this in the future, the Engine deployment pipeline will be updated to clear locks as part of its process.
Other regions were unaffected.
